Former KCKPD Detective Roger Golubski to remain on house arrest
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Former Detective Roger Golubski will remain on house arrest. On Thursday, a federal judge denied a motion to end house arrest based on a trip to Culver’s.
The judge called the request unusual based on one violation. She added language that clarifies future outings. It is limited to medical and legal appointments.
The judge also told Golubski to plan ahead knowing he may need snacks due to his diabetes.
It was a disappointing decision for those closely following the legal events. Many openly questioned the treatment of a former KCK Detective accused of horrible crimes related to sex trafficking, rape and kidnapping.
“He knew what he was doing when he stopped at Culvers!” said CeCe Manck.
Accuser Ophelia Williams said she’s not surprised by the decision.
“The judge, she said I can’t have no feelings about it,” said Ophelia Williams.
Prosecutors are requesting a September trial date.
